My very first MOVIE is short-film based on my story The Snack. Thanks, Mina Ownlee at KPF Productions for making another dream come true. Proud of our DVD...

I have been playing around with pictures, as usual. One of my favorite pastimes. These photos have been sent from fans who already got a DVD of The Snack and took pics of either the actual DVD or the TV tuned into the film. Some are from Texas, Alabama, New Hampshire, California and Florida... Don't forget to get your copy of The Snack DVD. $5.00 .. not bad... http://kpfproduction6.wix.com/kpfproductions#!kpf-store/c3jc

2013: Year-end Betty Awards: GRABOWSKY'S 'HALLOWEEN IV' FAVORITE BOOK OF YEAR

by Betty Dravis

I planned to announce these awards on New Years Day, but kept getting side-tracked, either by iffy days when I was a bit under the weather or by other projects long overdue. Cousin Oscar tells me that announcing the Betty Award winners now is just as good a time as any. The Golden Boy has a way of making me feel better by sharing the responsibility.

Oscar and I have gotten much closer since I started my Betty Awards, and he’s helping me out with the awards this time around too.  In fact, he’s so smitten with tonight’s presenters that nothing could keep him away. He’s been bending my ear for weeks, ever since he found out that the beloved Moore Family of Florida is serving as presenters tonight. He’s infatuated with both Mother Marie and daughter Gabby and thinks the twelve-year-old Sammy is the best-looking kid ever…

Even though the most brilliant and gorgeous women in the world are in acting competition to win a “likeness” of my glamorous cousin in their homes, Oscar is falling all over himself trying to stay close to The Moores. Can’t say that I blame him; they’re not only eye-candy, but are multi-talented. They are in-demand models who have recently branched out into acting and filmmaking. In fact, they recently founded SGMM Productions and their first film is in production. Most of you know that SGMM chose one of my short stories "Heavy Metal" for its first film. It's from the book, "Six-Pack of Blood," that I co-authored with the delightful and talented Barbara Watkins. The movie stars the Moore Family. I couldn't be more pleased, as a book-to-film has been my long-time dream.

Cousin Oscar warns me he will sic the entire Academy on me if my head gets much bigger. Hmmm... Should I fear? Anyway, here's the link to the film teaser trailer which was shot in one day by Gabby Moore for a college project. Won't this be cool when it's enhanced with eerie sound effects and powerful graphics? http://youtu.be/XVOCrfJ9w1k

The Moores just won the coveted titles of “Misses and Mr. Entertainment Business” and will reign throughout 2014. Popular Florida TV hostess Dawn Reese crowned them in a breath-taking scene on a balmy Florida beach.

But back to the awards, needless to say that Marie, Gabby and Sammy were perfect in their roles as presenters.

Cousin Oscar's Favorite of Year

Broken Promises

by Joe Perrone, Jr.

Cousin Oscar says he loves Joe Perrone, Jr.'s Matt Davis series, and I agree. Thanks for this special award, Oscar. You're the best cuz ever!

Since I read over 200 books in 2013, I can't award Bettys to all of you, but in my heart all authors deserve a little Betty in their lives. :-) Cousin Oscar says he feels the same way at the Academy Awards, especially when his favorite actors and movies don't make it. He admits to shedding a tear or two, but not in front of his adoring audience. I guess weeping does run in the family, so I better quit while I'm ahead. Cousin Cleo is smirking at me and Grammy is threatening to spank me for airing the family secret. Yep, we are a soft-hearted bunch.

Thanks for hanging in here with my vanity awards. Love you all.

My grandson will create banners & other art for you. Contact Seth James on Facebook.

My grandson Seth, who has a spinal cord injury from an accident when he was 19 years old, has been studying graphics and 3-D art at West Valley College in Saratoga for a few years. He enjoys dabbling in the arts and creates some fantastic Facebook banners and other art for people. He is great at anime too.

He recently decided to go pro and sell his art to individuals at very economical rates. He specializes in FB covers, but will create what you wish. Contact him by message on his Facebook page. Following are some samples of his covers:

My great-grandson Devon as created by Seth. Devon loves Spiderman!

Seth James self-portrait - anime.

Seth designed this for Cousin Christopher's dog Nos.

Seth's first customer, Entrepreneur John Manha.

Following are some varied works by Seth, from horror to rough anime...

We hope you like Seth's work and give him a chance to do something for you. He can't work outside the home at present, so would like to get a little graphics business going. You can message him on Facebook or if you would like his e-mail address, let me know on my FB page. Thanks, friends. Love you all. - Betty Dravis
